Project Description

This design-build project included the design and expansion of the existing city hall to a total of 35,000 square-feet. The building was constructed of cast-in-place concrete for the basement walls, masonry and steel structural system for ground level floor and roof support, and a steel and wood structural system for the roof.

Project Description

Our work on the Sierra Nevada College Prim Library is an example of working with an Owner and Design Team to provide the best value. When the original competitive bids were opened the project was $1,000,000 over budget. Rather than start over, the College engaged United Construction to work closely with the owner and design team to perform constructability reviews and value engineer components of the design to find ways to reduce costs without compromising the quality of the project. This collaborative effort continued throughout the duration of the project resulting in a library that maintained its original design intent, but was completed for 8% less than the Owner’s original budget.

Project Description

This three-story, 100,000 square foot call center and financial operations facility houses a 400-person call center. The project also incorporates a disaster recovery function that is real-time linked to other HDFS centers in the country, an employee courtyard, a three-story glass curtain wall, and three full floors of office build-out with a centralized communications and data processing center.

Project Description

This project included the construction of a new middle school for the Washoe County School District. This building is an energy star design underground geothermal exchange heating & cooling with electrical motorized skylight gathering capabilities, using 30% less energy than other similar size schools.

Project Description

All work was done with the confines of an operating community college. This project consisted of 40,000 SF of new construction, 60,000 SF of remodel to the existing Red Mountain Building as well as new construction of an 8,000 SF metal building to relocate the campus Plant Facility Department. These facilities are the focal point of the community college and demanded close collaboration between the Owners, Architects, United Construction as well as all subcontractors. The remodel included interior demolition of existing maintenance facility, auditorium, kitchen classrooms, science labs, fitness center and various other offices and classrooms.

 

The remodel portion of the project included the revamping of the facilities fire and life protection system. There was also extensive sitework regrading, custom concrete work and landscaping.

Project Description

This project consisted of building three commercial-use structures, including a 53,250 square-foot, three-story, class “A” office building with underground parking, a 9,000 square-foot retail center and a 2,800 square-foot restaurant. The office building’s exterior features third-floor balconies as well as trellised patios and a sculpted storefront entry. An underground parking garage includes a convenient tunnel which accesses the restaurant.

Project Description

This project included the construction of a new 322,500 square-foot warehouse with attached 50,000 square-foot, Class-A office building. The facility included
a full service kitchen, bar, dining rooms, specialty finishes including stone, tile, wood, carpet, VCT and stained Ardex flooring, special temperature climate rooms, conveyor systems, and loading docks.
