Our team was honored to attend Nevada Chapter AGC’s annual SIR and Construction Industry Awards Banquet which recognizes the construction community’s outstanding citizens as well as contractor, subcontractor, supplier, and design professional award winners. Thank you Nevada Chapter AGC for a wonderful event and congratulations to all of this year’s winners!

Congratulations to our team members Leman Jones, Harlee Annis, and Robert Felstead for graduating from Nevada Chapter AGC’s Leadership Series training by BREAKTHROUGH TRAINING™’s Jeff Benjamin. The 8-module program took place over 4 months and focused on developing strong and effective communication skills and leadership skills and techniques. To celebrate this achievement, a luncheon was held and each graduate gave a 3-minute presentation before their fellow students and invited guests about what they learned over the course. Thank you Nevada Chapter AGC and Breakthrough Training for providing a great educational experience!

Here at United Construction, we are proud to celebrate the women who lift up our company every day, bringing us to new heights and reaching key milestones and successes. Happy Women in Construction Week (Sunday, March 6 – Saturday, March 12) to all the wonderful women who serve in the construction industry!

Jami Fornelli, Sarah Schmidt and Alana Ridge – a few of our United Construction ladies – had a great time mixing and mingling with other women in the construction industry at the Nevada Chapter AGC’s Women in Construction (WIC) End-of-Year mixer. United was a proud sponsor of the networking event.

The event, which was held at GuiDenby Inc. office, was attended by commercial contractors, homebuilders, masonry firms, landscaping companies and much more.

More AGC and WIC events are coming soon – stay tuned to the AGC’s announcements.

Cheers to women in construction!

United Construction is thrilled to have the opportunity to participate in and sponsor several Northern Nevada nonprofit and professional association golf tournaments this summer. With the pandemic cancelling nearly all events last year, our team is excited to “get back out there” as restrictions continue to lift.

So far, Team United has participated in two golf tournaments:

  • CREW NAIOP Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, June 11 at Lakeridge Golf Course
  • AGCPAC Golf Tournament on Friday, June 18 at Washoe Golf Course (United was also a sponsor)

Kelsie Hieber, Mark Davis, Nick Crawford and Brad Richter golfed for a cause at the NAIOP Golf Tournament, as the event benefitted both the commercial real estate industry and the Give Hope Foundation, which helps families in children in Nevada battling chronic disease and illness.

Mark Davis grabbed his clubs yet again for the AGC Golf Tournament, joined this time by Mike Clements, Mark Byars and Kerry Brock. Team United came in 3rd place at this popular industry tournament! We sponsor this event every year, and this year we sponsored Hole #7. Along with golfing, we also had great fun managing our booth and connecting with all of the teams that stopped by for some drinks, our branded sunscreens and koozies, and much-appreciated shade.

Looking forward to even more golf tournaments this summer to benefit wonderful organizations in our community!
