Project Description

The Fremont Elementary School Expansion project consisted of construction of approximately 14,000 sf expansion and tenant improvements of the campus. Construction and selective demolition provided space for enrollment growth and to improve space for Kindergarten, General Education, Special Education, and Early Childhood Development, along with miscellaneous tenant improvements.

Project Description

Scannell Mustang #564 is a new 560,820-square-foot speculative industrial building in Mustang, Nevada. United Construction was the design-build contractor for this new 36′ clear double-loaded distribution facility, which is owned by Scannell Properties. Features include 54′ x 50′ columns, 60′ speed bays and 7″ reinforced floors.

Project Description

This tenant improvement project, built by United Construction in partnership with their subcontractors, involved renovation to SNC’s office on East Prater Way in Sparks. The remodel includes new doors and frames, tile flooring, concrete floor slabs, custom millwork, insulation and sealants, framing, drywall and more.

LogistiCenter at 395 Phase 2 is a 130-acre industrial park that will be home to more than 1.6 million square feet of industrial space. Construction is complete on Buildings 1 and 2. As the Design-Build Contractor, United Construction provided in-house design, and managed all construction related activity for the site, shell and tenant improvements.

Project Description

The new 53,000 sf facility features a state-of-the-art showroom, 22,095-square-foot warehouse with a five-ton overhead crane spanning 70 feet. As the General Contractor for this project, our work ensured that there was plenty of room for future expansion.

Project Description

The bottom of Mount Rose Scenic Highway now features a new public charter school: Doral Academy of Northern Nevada. Designed and built to blend in with the surrounding mountainous landscape, Doral Academy’s new campus features a three-story, 54,685 square-foot facility.

 

The building has classrooms, specialty laboratories, an art studio, music and dance studios and indoor and outdoor areas for recreation. It was built to serve more than 600 kids in grades K-8.

 

As the General Contractor, United Construction collaborated closely with Doral Academy, Boyer (Owner’s Representative), and Ethos Three Architects in order to phase and expedite the project schedule so that the school could open in time for the start of the 2018 school year.

As the first building to be constructed in the new Rancharrah community, 5301 Kietzke has set the bar high for buildings to come. The two-story, 20,259 square-foot building features floor to ceiling windows that frame incredible views expanding from the mountains to downtown. With positioning along a major thoroughfare, the glow of modern LED fixtures illuminating through the building’s iconic glass design is enjoyed by thousands daily.

 

5301 Kietzke was designed to be as efficient as it is stunning. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls provide a modern aesthetic, breathtaking views and energizing amounts of sunlight for guests and employees to enjoy throughout the workday. The unique floor plan was designed to leverage the daylight for maximized lighting efficiency and enjoyment. Complimenting the natural daylight and picturesque views are modern LED light fixtures that double as artistic design enhancements. Lighting and door controls are digitally programmed and managed online for ultimate of use and sustainability.

 

Together, innovative building design and wise material selection create the ultimate window system that regulates temperature, glare from the sun and noise reduction. The Charles Schwab Office was designed with 4-foot by 4-inch vents along the floor-to-ceiling glass walls. The vents ensure consistent temperature control year-round. Additionally, upgraded MechoShade systems are in sync with the sun and direct the window treatments to lower and raise automatically, or at the push of a button.

This project included the rebuild of a 5,650 square-foot funeral home after the original facility had burned down. The new space features private meeting rooms, and events center with prep kitchen.

“The historic landscape surrounding the University of Nevada, Reno has a new landmark.”

 

Just across the street from Nightingale Concert Hall now stands a three-story office building with a distinctively modern aesthetic. The multifaceted design features a variety of unique and exotic finishes throughout, including more than 10 on the exterior alone. It is the new home of University Studies Abroad Consortium (USAC), an organization that spans 28 countries and specializes in providing university students with affordable and valuable study abroad programs.

 

As the Design-Build Contractor, United Construction collaborated extensively with USAC and the architect, Van Woert Bigotti, throughout design and preconstruction by providing constructability feedback and ideas for Value Engineering. The teamwork continued through construction and it is evident in the iconic stature of the final product.
