Since our founding in 1978, United Construction has grown from a small industrial/commercial contractor in Reno, NV to a national company with additional offices in Chicago, IL and Sacramento, CA.
At the very core of United Construction’s culture is a focus on collaboration to streamline preconstruction and construction processes to maximize value for our Customers. It is that core focus coupled with almost four decades of experience that has led to the development of The United Process which provides a consistently successful framework for the collaboration, programming, planning, preconstruction, construction, and post-construction stages of our projects. The success of The United Process is validated by the valuable relationships that we have earned with our Customers, Designers, Engineers and Subcontractors through performance and service, with the end result being a high percentage of repeat business over the years.
United Construction was originally established as a Design-Build firm, and to this day we have stayed true to our roots by still performing over 50% of our projects as a Design-Build or Design-Assist (CMAR) Contractor. We partner with external design firms for numerous projects and also offer an in-house architectural design team that uses state-of-the-art BIM technologies for feasibility, planning, concept and working design documents. Additionally, we provide and tailor General Contracting, Feasibility, Due Diligence, and Construction Management services as needed by our customers.
With the flexibility of a small firm and the resources and expertise of a large firm, we compete with companies large and small to provide a variety of nimble and innovative solutions for our customers. Our Tenant Improvement Division performs TI and renovation projects with values from $5,000 to $15 million, while our Core and Shell Division performs projects with values of up to $75 million for new facility and site development projects. Our Customer base consists of diverse private and public sector customers in industrial, manufacturing, medical, aviation, education, office, and tenant improvement/renovation construction markets.
